- Artist: Asoka
- Country: Japan
- Age: 5
- Materials: color inks, fabric
Asoka made this pretty tote bag for her mother in the kindergarten. She painted rabbits, rainbow, so many hearts and rainbow-colored carp stream (Koinobori). The colors run a bit, but this artwork is really nice. Her mother is delighted with this bag filled with Asoka’s love and uses it everyday.
- Artist: Yuiri
- Country: Japan
- Age: 8
- Materials: water color, drawing paper
Yuiri painted her ‘a back hip circle’. She has a really great smile, so it is natural for us to smile when we see this awesome artwork. Because her gym uniform of her elementary school (we call it ‘taisou-huku’ in Japanese) seems to be covered with mud, I think that she practiced it over and over again.
* This artwork was displayed at “Art Olympiad in Kanazawa 2012″ hosted by ICAF(International Child Art Foundation), ICAF Japan and ICAF Young Board, and was awarded ‘The education board of Kanazawa’. This artwork was provided by the courtesy of ICAF Japan. We extend our sincere gratitude for them.
- Artist: Sou
- Country: Japan
- Age: 9
- Materials: water color, drawing paper
Sou painted ‘green ocean’ and boys who are swimming there. The ocean is filled with green fresh leaves and waving gently as same as our blue ocean. Sou’s imagination and creativity is really awesome. This artwork makes us imagine how it feels to swim in the leaves as far as we can see.
